Save the Date

Kick off the season at Fort Worth Oktoberfest, happening September 24–26 at Trinity Park. The three-day celebration brings a little bit of Bavaria to Fort Worth with German food, live music, carnival rides and games, a market, and plenty of traditions. September 26th at 1:00pm is especially fun for families, with the Dachshund Parade and Dachshund Dash joining the festivities.

Pull out the costumes for the Boo at the Zoo. From October 23–25, the Fort Worth Zoo transforms for three days of treat stations, live entertainment, animal shows, and plenty of not-so-scary Halloween fun. 

For another way to enjoy the season, the Japanese Botanic Garden Fall Festival, held November 7–8th, is a fall favorite. With music, beautiful gardens, and cooler weather finally making its way to Fort Worth, it is an easy plan for just about anyone. 

Taste of Fall

Seasonal menus start making their appearance back on menus, bringing everything from pumpkin coffees to fresh pastries and fall-inspired cocktails.

Start your morning with a coffee from October Brew Coffee, a local coffee cart with a story almost as good as its lattes. Owners Angel and Alyssa actually met at a coffee shop before getting married in 2020 and eventually combining their love for coffee into a business of their own. They now serve their perfectly curated drinks in their micro-cafe, as well as all around Fort Worth in their coffee cart.

For something sweet, stop by Sweet Lucy’s Pies and pick up a pie to bring home or to a fall event. Owner Lindsey Lawing started Sweet Lucy’s in 2013 after becoming a single mom and looking for a way to support her daughter, Lucy. Today, the shop is known for its signature flaky crust, creative flavors, and pies made with local and seasonal Texas ingredients.

And when the sun goes down, make it a night out with a seasonal cocktail at River’s Cocktail & Wine Bar in Fort Worth’s River District. The cozy atmosphere, outside patio, and happy hour specials make it an easy spot for a date night or night out with friends all fall long.
